Welcome to Impact!

Image of Barnabas Community ChurchWhat is Impact? Impact is the youth event of Barnabas Community Church. Impact happens every Friday night during term time, at the Barnabas Centre, in Shrewsbury.

We want Impact to be a place where young people from all over Shrewsbury can get together; where Christians can meet other Christians of the same age group, as well as being a place where people will bring their friends.  We want it to be where people who aren’t Christians can have fun, and learn about Christianity in a relaxed environment.

At Impact, we want to explain Christianity, and various aspects of the Christian faith, in a way which is relevant and interesting to the youth of today.

We want Impact to be a place where people can feel comfortable, safe, and welcomed. All our youth leaders hold CRB police clearance, and are trained in child protection. Our leaders also have experience in youth work.

What We Do...

Image of Smiley MugSo what actually happens at Impact??

We meet each Friday night during term time, from 7.30pm until 9.45pm.

If you are in school / college years 7 to 13, we would love to see you come along!

We have a social time, where people can play games, eat food, have drinks, meet new people and just generally chill out.

During the night there is a small Bible based talk, after which, people split into their year groups to discuss what they have heard.  We have the SOS group for those in Year 7, the TOLD group for those in years 8 & 9, Skyscrapers groups for those in years 10 & 11 and the A2J groups for those of college age!

Following this, it is back out into the main hall to continue chilling out, playing various games, and meeting new people.

Impact is a great place to learn more about God and Christianity, as well as meeting new people and making new friends.

Why not come along and find out what its all about? We’d love to see you there.
