I became a Christian today! It has been the best 18th birthday present of all! I am so excited to tell you my story, coz I have got home from Barnabas and all I want to do is go back! Hence, being on the website!
They say this awful cliche “the Lord works in mysterious ways” HE SO DOES! There are plenty of stories here about what led people to Christianity which rock...but if I can just say..my immediate feelings....WOW! I’M A CHRISTIAN! I have been so since about midday today and I am feeling so great! God’s presence is there if you let it be!!! He’s given me already what is the best day in my life!!! I would love to go out and tell the world...of course, I am nowhere near enough confident yet to go out and scream from a mountain top...BUT EVENTUALLY I WILL BE!! but wow! I love life!!! I CANNOT STOP LAUGHING!! My advice to anyone considering Christianity...pop to the Alpha course...it’s so ace, and so life changing! A few months ago I was dating a drug dealing guy, and I was crying every night because of how unbearable life was...been bullied for 18 years, awful relationship with parents, a sense of overwhelming lonlieness, friends who treated me dreadfully, being used for various things, sleeping around, being thought of as insane, being drunk for days on end, drinking on hangovers, suicide attempts...u name it, i’ve been there. I’m not saying coz I’m proud, but so u can see where I’ve come from to feeling this elated!!!...I know that Jesus has come into my life RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW...to set me free from all of the nonsense! CANNOT W8 4 GOD’S PLAN 4 ME! WOO! GOD ROCKS!
